Ryan Laskey
Senior Vice President / Commercial Vehicle Drive and Motion Systems
Ryan Laskey serves as senior vice president of Dana’s Commercial Vehicle Drive and Motion Systems business unit. Reporting to Aziz Aghili, president of Heavy Vehicle, Ryan has global responsibility for the strategy, product planning, engineering, and program management for the company’s traditional driveline capabilities, as well as the electrification portfolio.
With nearly two decades of experience in the global automotive industry, Ryan began his Dana career as an applications engineer, working on several high-profile vehicles. From 2005 to 2011, Ryan served as chief engineer of driveline applications, where he launched numerous driveshaft and axle programs for various customers across six continents. In 2013, he was promoted to director of driveline product engineering, responsible for driveline strategy, design, and development across the company’s light-vehicle, commercial-vehicle, and off-highway end markets. In 2015, Ryan was named vice president of commercial-vehicle engineering and quality and assumed additional responsibility for corporate product and gear engineering in 2017. Ryan was named vice president with additional responsibility for business development for the company’s electric-vehicle integration services in 2019. He was promoted to his current role in 2020.
Ryan earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Toledo and an MBA from Purdue University.
Ryan serves as a board member of Dongfeng Dana Axle Company, Ltd., Dana’s largest joint venture in China, as well as the Dana Charitable Foundation, which provides philanthropic support for charities in the U.S. where Dana operates.
In 2020, Ryan was named a Rising Star by Automotive News magazine, which recognizes leaders among automakers and suppliers who are making a significant impact in the industry and for their company.
